Statuses and legal forms

Every result carries the register's own status in registration_info.status and an AiPrise status in registration_info.normalised_status. The normalised status is one of Active, Suspended, Dormant, Dissolved / Struck Off, In Liquidation / Insolvency or Unknown.

Legal forms come back in entity_type as lower-case codes, for example private-company-limited-by-shares, sole-proprietor and single-member-company.

Quirks and gotchas

Country-specific behaviour to know before you integrate.

Quirk	Details
Legal forms as codes	Most legal forms come back as hyphenated codes (`private-company-limited-by-shares`); a few older results use `Private / Company limited by shares`. Map both.
Status OTHER	About 1 in 20 results have the status `OTHER`, which maps to `Unknown`.
No registration date or address	The register data rarely has a registration date or address. Collect the certificate of incorporation if you need them.
No officers or owners from the register	The register data has no directors, shareholders or UBOs. Collect them in your onboarding flow and verify each person with KYC.

Limits

Directors, shareholders and UBOs are not returned.
The registration date and registered address are rarely returned.
