Overview
AiPrise verifies Bulgarian businesses against the Commercial Register of the Registry Agency. A business verification returns the company profile, representatives, shareholders, and the documents filed with the register.

Send the UIC (ЕИК) as business_entity_id, with country_code set to BG.

Statuses and legal forms
Every result carries the register's own status in registration_info.status and an AiPrise status in registration_info.normalised_status. The normalised status is one of Active, Suspended, Dormant, Dissolved / Struck Off, In Liquidation / Insolvency or Unknown.

Legal forms come back in Bulgarian, as the register writes them in entity_type, for example Еднолично дружество с ограничена отговорност (ЕООД) and Дружество с ограничена отговорност (ООД).
Quirks and gotchas
Country-specific behaviour to know before you integrate.

| Send the UIC, not the VAT number | Put the 9-digit UIC (ЕИК) in business_entity_id. Keep the BG… VAT number for the VAT check. |
| Representatives are not normalised | Managers come back with the role name Представител (representative) and the normalised role UNKNOWN. Read the role name. |
| Mostly single-member companies | About 3 in 4 companies are single-member ЕООД, so there is usually one shareholder. |
| Cyrillic | Legal forms, statuses and role names come back in Bulgarian Cyrillic. |
Limits
- UBOs come back only for few companies.
- Articles of association and financial statements come back only when the company has filed them.
