Overview
AiPrise verifies Estonian businesses against the e-Business Register (e-Äriregister) of the Centre of Registers and Information Systems. A business verification returns the company profile, management board members, shareholders, ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs) and the documents filed with the register.

Identifiers
Send the 8-digit registry code as business_entity_id, with country_code set to EE.

Statuses and legal forms
Every result carries the register's own status in registration_info.status and an AiPrise status in registration_info.normalised_status. The normalised status is one of Active, Suspended, Dormant, Dissolved / Struck Off, In Liquidation / Insolvency or Unknown.

Legal forms come back in Estonian in entity_type, for example Osaühing (OÜ) and Füüsilisest isikust ettevõtja (sole trader).
Quirks and gotchas
Country-specific behaviour to know before you integrate.

| VAT number is a different number | The Estonian VAT number is not the registry code with a prefix. Send the 8-digit registry code in business_entity_id. |
| Board members are not normalised | Directors come back with the role name Management board member and the normalised role UNKNOWN. Read the role name. |
| Mostly OÜ | Almost every verified business is a private limited company (Osaühing), often with one shareholder who is also the UBO. |
Limits
- Annual reports come back only for companies that have filed them; new companies have none yet.
