AiPrise verifies Romanian businesses against the National Trade Register Office (ONRC). A business verification returns the company profile and, for some companies, directors, shareholders and the ONRC certificate.

Identifiers

Send the CUI as business_entity_id, with country_code set to RO.

Statuses and legal forms

Every result carries the register's own status in registration_info.status and an AiPrise status in registration_info.normalised_status. The normalised status is one of Active, Suspended, Dormant, Dissolved / Struck Off, In Liquidation / Insolvency or Unknown.

When it is returned, the legal form comes back in Romanian in entity_type, for example Societate cu Raspundere Limitata.

Quirks and gotchas

Country-specific behaviour to know before you integrate.

Quirk	Details
Status often empty	About 4 in 5 results come back without a register status or legal form, so `normalised_status` is `Unknown`. Use the ONRC certificate to confirm the company is active.
People are rare	Directors and shareholders come back for only about 1 in 10 companies.
Send the CUI	Put the CUI in `business_entity_id`, without the `RO` prefix.

Limits

UBOs are not returned.
Status, legal form and people are often missing.
