CUIT data, tax registrations and authorities for Argentine businesses
Overview
AiPrise verifies Argentine businesses by their CUIT. A business verification returns the legal name, the type of taxpayer, registered addresses, activity codes and tax registrations, and the company's authorities registered with the Inspección General de Justicia (IGJ) when listed.

Sources
| Register | What it gives |
|---|---|
| National tax register (CUIT records) | Legal name, type of taxpayer, addresses, activity codes, tax registrations |
| Inspección General de Justicia (IGJ) | Directors and authorities |
Identifiers
Send the CUIT as tax_identification_number, with country_code set to AR.
| Identifier | Format | Example |
|---|---|---|
| CUIT | 11 digits. Dashes are optional. | 30-71234567-1 or 30712345671 |
Statuses and legal forms
The CUIT lookup does not return a register status, so registration_info.normalised_status is empty. Check the registered taxes and their state in lookup_info instead.
The type of taxpayer comes back in business_info.entity_type as JURIDICA (legal entity) or FISICA (individual).
Quirks and gotchas
Country-specific behaviour to know before you integrate.
| Quirk | Details |
|---|---|
| Send the CUIT, not a name | The lookup runs on the CUIT in tax_identification_number. |
| No register status | There is no normalised_status. Use the registered taxes and their state in lookup_info to judge whether the business is active. |
| Postal code mismatches | About half of checks flag ADDRESS_ZIPCODE_MISMATCH, because the postal code sent differs from the ones on the CUIT record. Check the address you collected before declining. |
| Few authorities | Directors and other authorities come back for few companies. Collect them in your onboarding flow. |
| Individuals are covered | Individuals with a CUIT come back as FISICA. If you onboard companies only, check entity_type. |
Limits
- Shareholders, beneficial owners and register documents are not available.
