Overview

AiPrise verifies Finnish businesses against the Trade Register of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH). A business verification returns the company profile, officers, ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs), the register extract and the articles of association.

Identifiers

Send the Business ID (Y-tunnus) as business_entity_id, with country_code set to FI.

Statuses and legal forms

Every result carries the register's own status in registration_info.status and an AiPrise status in registration_info.normalised_status. The normalised status is one of Active, Suspended, Dormant, Dissolved / Struck Off, In Liquidation / Insolvency or Unknown.

Legal forms come back in Finnish in entity_type, for example Osakeyhtiö (Oy) and Yksityinen elinkeinonharjoittaja (sole trader).

Quirks and gotchas

Country-specific behaviour to know before you integrate.

Quirk	Details
No shareholders	Shareholders are not returned. Use the UBOs and officers instead.
Bankruptcy shows as `Unknown`	`Konkurssi` (bankruptcy) maps to `Unknown`. Check the register status before approving.
Status in lower or upper case	The active status comes back as `Rekisterissä` or `rekisterissä`. Both map to `Active`.
Business ID hyphen	The Business ID works with or without the hyphen before the check digit.

Limits

Shareholders are not returned.
Data comes from a small number of verifications so far.
