This week we added business verification coverage for Pakistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and UAE, expanded eKYC to Canada, and shipped location eligibility checks so you can block verification flows from specific countries.

✨ New Features

  • Business Verification in Pakistan, Turkey, Ukraine, and UAE: You can now run KYB searches, KYB Lite, shareholder lookups, and group structure checks for these four countries.
  • eKYC Verification in Canada: Identity verification (1+1) is now available for Canada through our expanded provider network.
  • Location Eligibility Checks: You can now block verification flows from specific countries at the template level. When an end user attempts to verify from a blocked country, they are shown a clear access-denied screen.
  • Session Renewal API: The session renewal endpoint is now publicly documented, allowing you to programmatically renew expired verification sessions via API.

🚀 Improvements

  • KYB Resubmit Flow Now Supports Instructions: The "Request Resubmit" flow now includes a subtitle field so you can provide specific context about what needs to be re-uploaded.
  • Business Name in Expiry Reminder Emails: Session expiry reminder email templates now support a business name placeholder for more personalized notifications.
  • Prefilled Country Locked in KYB SDK: When the country is prefilled in a KYB SDK flow, end users can no longer change the selection, preventing mismatches.
  • Nigeria Registration Number Validation Relaxed: Format validation for Nigeria business registry numbers is now more lenient — handling cases where the RC prefix is already present or dashes are missing — reducing false rejections.
  • Clearer Error Messages for Failed Lookups: Business verification failures now show specific error messages (e.g., "TIN format incorrect") instead of the generic "Third Party API failed."
  • Cleaner US Business Verification UI: Empty sections for bankruptcies, litigations, and people bankruptcies are now hidden from US business verification results when not applicable.
  • Smarter User Profile Creation: User profiles are now created only when a verification session is submitted, eliminating empty profiles from sessions that were never started.
  • User Profile API Status Values Clarified: The misleading FOUND / NOT_FOUND values have been removed from the user_profile_result field in the User Profile API. Only APPROVED, DECLINED, REVIEW, and UNKNOWN are returned as final verification results.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • India GST Conflicting Status: Fixed an issue where India GST verification could show both "Cancelled" and "Approved" status simultaneously. Cancelled GSTIN statuses are now handled correctly.
  • AML Monitoring Not Updating Profile Status: Business profile status now correctly updates to REVIEW when ongoing AML monitoring detects new alerts, ensuring downstream systems react to changes.
  • Translation Failing on Business Questions: The "Translate to English" feature now works correctly for business responded questions in KYB verification cases.
  • Canada Entity Categorization: Related entities from Canadian registry lookups are now correctly classified as companies or persons, preventing corporate entities from appearing under "Related Persons."
  • Email Button Brand Colors: Verification email CTA button colors now correctly reflect your configured brand theme, instead of defaulting to AiPrise blue.
